Earring Care

How to Care for your Earrings

- About Polymer Clay: It is a durable material and therefore should be pretty hardy to the elements. Before I sell you your earrings, I perform a drop test - which is exactly what it sounds like. I drop them to make sure they don't break! I also take care to condition the clay, bake it appropriately, and seal them if needed.  However, they can break just like any other piece of jewelry and need to be taken care of. I would encourage you to avoid sleeping in them, leaving them in direct sunlight or throwing them in your bag. Which leads me to...

- To Store: When traveling, keep them in a hard case. If they are are under a lot of pressure or smooshed to a certain extent - they may break.

- To Clean: If they are a lighter color earring and and are exposed to makeup - taking a baby wipe to them will typically do the trick! If it is a stubborn spot, you can take a Q-tip with a little rubbing alcohol on it and lightly rub, and it should come off.
